Magic Bumpers are firm polyurethane foam wedges designed to go under the fitted sheet and mattress pad as a safer and easier alternative to traditional bed rails. The foam has a non-slip surface that stays in place when under a fitted sheet. The bumper is very lightweight which makes handling and travel much easier. ----Each foam wedge is 13cm wide and 13cm high and 50cm long. ----They are light blue in color and designed to be placed in pairs along either side of the bed. ----This set contains TWO bumpers which makes a 100 cm bed rail.----- They fit any size bed because you can place as many as needed or easily cut off extra foam. It is easier to make the bed with the bumpers since the bed covers just go overtop of the bumpers. Midwives recommend babies should be placed with their feet near the bottom of the cot and this device enables you to do just that, ensuring the Feet to Foot position. It prevents a baby from wriggling down under the bedclothes. It also enables you to place the baby at the top of the cot, which seems more logical, whilst shortening the length of the cot whilst the baby is still small. The Safababy has been designed in accordance with the experts advice in keeping your baby in the feet to foot position which is believed to reduce the risk of cot death otherwise known as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS. The Feet-to-Foot position is the recommended sleeping position by midwives for babies. However there is a risk of baby wriggling free from the foot of the cot and becoming cold so the Safababy Sleeper has been designed to prevent this from happening. As it is fully adjustable, it can be positioned according to the size of the baby anywhere in the cot or cot-bed, creating a false foot and a snug environment for baby to sleep.
